Old work. Thinking about the aesthetic hazards of letting either line or light dominate when you're trying to convey form. Simple block in models may best cut the Gordian Knot and let all those involved be satisfied with the concept part of the art pipeline.
Quick 3D models really shine when you're iterating with quick paintovers. This gives me a feel for what I should do for the landing gear and weapon bays and can check for fit and visual presence.
