Cargo ship. Years later, I'm returning to the model of one of my even older concepts, armed with new knowledge. The manipulator arms here are stowed behind a plaited cover in transit and I wanted to do a quick check on dimensions and clearance before doing more.
Studies, experiments, and general musing. Stroke economy, types of edges, and the semiotics of weapons and spacecraft. Saturday.
Work in progress on a design for a near-future aircrew loadout. Climate controlled fragsuit, helmet with integrated NVG.
Quick colors at lunchtime. There's a lot to think about. Sometimes concealing something better communicates its essence than stating it plainly.
If not fussed over, color is scarcely more trouble than linework. I'm torn between the traditional beginning of the line sketch and jumping right into painting to convey gesture, mass, and light in a timely manner.
Sketch. This is that truck my love for you is like. A veritable Super Duty going through the drivethru of spring. Beep beep.
I'll probably take this further when there's time.
Skull helmets. You can never really have enough. Left is based on an old Flash Gordon-style kabuto I sketched. Right is inspired by the Titanfall pilot helmets, which I really liked. Silhouette is a little ordinary, might model and fix it. Sliding faceplate.
Reposting the unviolated freighter again for the sake of convenience showing what got blown up, shot off, or had its warranty otherwise voided. It'll make a good pirate ship eventually.
