Think of it like this
No one watched/read Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, looked at characters like Veruca and said to themselves "She's misunderstood."
No. They called her a horrible little monster who DOUBLES DOWN when her father threatened to ground her.
I'm guessing its asking for too much if you're in charge of writing a character with a Spoiled Princess Complex to at least write her like she thinks everything on earth belongs to her and what doesn't belong to her will eventually become hers if she just screams until it is.
Look if you're itching to write a proper "product of their upbringing" character arc for someone who is clearly an Antagonist you also need to swing it both ways
Some rich people genuinely love their kids
And those kids turn out WORSE then their parents who're equally bad.
Another personal favorite trope/cliche of mine is
"Character know's full well he/she is an objectively terrible person but are so good and so comfortable at being so awful around other people they get a head rush of pure unconcentrated dopamine from how they act around people."
My favorite kind of villains are characters like Bradford from Ducktales whose motivation for being evil is not understanding why everyone thinks he's morally in the wrong
>Bradford: Fun is bad. Therefore Fun must be destroyed. WHY AM I THE BAD GUY I DID THIS FOR YOU!
I'm also getting sick and tired of "Morally Grey" Antagonists throughout all of fiction as well. Virtually fucking everyone with absolutely no creative talent of any description wants to create "complex" villains but writes them like Gary/Mary Sue OC's that are "untouchable."
Regardless of this, I am...so...fucking...unbelievably tired of this disgustingly cancerous new writing trend in cartoons where characters like Amity, Pacifica, and Andrea aren't "Spoiled" they're "Misunderstood."
"ITS JUST THEIR UPBRINGING MAN! THEY DONT REALLY MEAN IT!"
>All of Viv's fans on Tumblr and Reddit seething how all the old pilot VA's for Hazbin Hotel are gonna be replaced with bigger named VA's or actors/actresses who dont normally VA for a living phoning in their lines for a payday.
Im worried about Katie.
She's best girl.
@MarsStudio1970 You know good and goddamn well that is not what I meant Mars.
Its like every conversation I have ever had with with @Valkyrie_Fleur
>When are you watching Horse anime?
>When are you gonna have a proper folder dedicated to how much you love your waifu?
