Happy Birthday Juri <3
ps oh my god i just realized juriona is copying that chibi god the musical bromides are epic
You ever just pull your hair out trying to preserve the ridiculous aesthetic of The #Utena Dossier, a booklet made of toilet paper?? No? Well I did! Here are the cast pages for Utena and Anthy, courtesy of @Nagumo191 and yours truly! The massive interview and more extras coming!!
This is one of those things you either catch or don't. Chu-chu is extracting small inedible packets from the box containing Anthy's dress. The implication's that these are desiccants, meant to keep Anthy's dress dry in transit. You'll have seen them IRL covered with 'DO NOT EAT.'
Also WHAT IS THIS PRESENTS THING I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS? INFLATABLE? CHU-CHU? I DUNNO?? AHEM. Anyway this image of Utena and Akio is from the mag, the full size clean scan from her artbook is here: https://t.co/D7QAFHskOB. I just wanted y'all to see the EPIC late 90s font flavor.
The July 1999 issue of Rockin' On Japan has an interview with Chiho Saito and movie Akio's pop star voice actor, Mitsuhiro Oikawa. It also has the real life image of them that inspired one of Saito's illustrations for the #Utena movie manga. Yes, I bought it to get the image.
I've been busy on a project for a friend that has some...nice benefits for y'all. :) I'm going to start organizing all of my random #Utena design assets as I make them. Let's start with the frame from the Eternal Masterpiece model sword! Linkie to gallery: https://t.co/DZCQC6Vw01
I'm not sure where this is from, but this is front and back of a truly massive magazine clipping announcing the #Utena movie... that took six scans per side. So. Enjoy this ultra high-res image of your favorite emo rock personality Kunihiko Ikuhara trying to look srs LMAAAAO
Artist Inori Kito's playful design was printed on multiple items for Animation Addict a few years ago during the #Utena 20th anniversary festivities. This is both the clean copy from online and a scan of the handkerchief by yours truly...and yes, they both repeat properly. Ofc.
