I first scanned this image from the Revolutionary Girl #Utena Chiho Saito Illustration Collection on July 22, 2001. The 1350px wide, 96dpi image took hours of computer processing.

For Utena's 10th anniversary, I took on a massive project to screencap the entire series for the gallery. I even pieced together panned shots...by hand. I cleaned the awful DVD transfer as much as I could. I worked for months.

Then Ikuhara announced the series remaster.
