@thepaintpaddock I'm not sure this is how I _always_ mentally picture it, but retro Allosaurus is red with blue stripes.
Some of the sculptures had internal electric motors to move various parts. The Brontosaurs could swing its head on its long neck; Triceratops could wag the tip of its tail; Tyrannosaurus leaned over to snarl at its prey, and the Corythosaurus turned its head.

Kubert was born in Poland in '46, but emigrated to the US when he was 2 mo old. As a youth, he used to visit the studios where Archie comics were drawn & the guys there would give him tips about figure drawings and cartooning.
Originally published by St. John comics in the 1950s, "Tor" followed the titular caveman on various adventures, the title was revived in the '70s by DC. These books included reprints of the St John stories as well as some new adventures.
@MetTiinA DB is generally a children's book illustrator, though he has written & illustrated books of his own, mostly historical fiction for middle schoolers. Looking him up, I am surprised to find he illustrated one of my favorite childhood books of fantastic beasts.
