These four things all happened within 14 months. What a time to be alive.
This must have been done before but I did it anyway.
@jsnlawlee @AsgerBugge @FullFatVideos I mean, if we're getting technical, Batman has always used his cape to glide, long before Miller. These panels are from 1966 and 1971.
All-New Marvel NOW! had some great comics, but a lot of bad costumes. Bad, bad, bad.
@cbake76 @BrettWeissCHVG Just reaffirming what @rusty_shackles has said in the quote tweets: Most of this is from style guides. The Superman is from a 1982 DC style guide with art by José Luis García-López. That Cap image is a comp but the main shot is by John Romita Sr as seen in a 1977 style guide.
I'm not gonna try to convince anyone that Fantastic Four (2005) is some transcendental piece of cinema but I'll say this:
If the brief was to take Lee and Kirby's FF, give it a glossy mid-00s aesthetic, and put it on the big screen, this movie was 100% successful.
I've never drawn a comic before but I've had this dumb joke in my head for a while and I needed to get it out.
I used an AI to create abstract art based on @Todd_McFarlane’s Spawn and the results are hauntingly beautiful.
