Before STARS, Wesker was a "T Institute of Technology" researcher and US Army tech officer. By giving the army biohazard prevention & secondary infection data, he leaked their BC weapons program to Umbrella & became an executive. His hobbies were football & studying war history.

Chris Redfield was invited to join STARS by Barry and the two acted as a team in many successful missions, but Chris needed to make many apologies and was often reprimanded by Captain Wesker. Though skilled, his laziness showed his imperfection. His hobby was music, mainly rock.

In the BIOHAZARD 4 Stylish Version that became Devil May Cry, the Umbrella logo was based on the Spencer family coat of arms. The family motto was "Fortune Favors The Bold", alluding to Spencer's old history as an explorer. A new coat of arms is featured in Remake 1.
