Christo, the Bulgarian artist best known for wrapping buildings , has died aged 84. A few years ago while at the Charles Shultz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA, I sketched Christo's wrapped Snoopy dog house that's on permanent display.
One more sketch of Anton Schwartz on Sax and Joel Behrman on trumpet from their recent show at the Cloverdale Arts Alliance's Jazz Club.
Sketching at the #CloverdaleArtAlliance last night, “An Evening in December” holiday show with #PaulaHarris and her amazing band. #Jazz #USk #UrbanSketchers
Figure drawing today at the Art Atelier in Healdsburg with our lovely model Sarah. 10-20 minute poses, direct painting. Purposely used a fat brush so I wouldn't get caught up in details.
Another awesome night at the Cloverdale Arts Alliance Jazz Club, this month featuring The Anton Schwartz Sextet.
They knocked it out of the park!
The fall season of Jazz Club at the Cloverdale Art Alliance kicked off mightily with Bay Area's jazz vocalist Tiffany Austin & her Quartet. Ms. Austin's remarkable voice covered the blues, swing, spirituals, bebop, post-bop, & even a little R&B. Sketched on location #USk
Haute Flash Quartet playing at Cloverdale Ale Pub. Fun show! I always make an effort to see (and sketch) them when they come to town. They play gypsy jazz, French musette waltzes, American swing, and more. #SonomaCounty #USk
