@moertel All the time.🙃
I change my mind too. For example, in this still life, after it was already 'done', I changed the highlight color on the apple:
@moertel The yellow ramp has a green, fluorescent tint to it so I compensate by doing only daylight outdoor scenes where that's perfect for heavy sunlight hitting vegetation.😆 See example (yup, that's the only yellow hue you get, although sandy oranges are cozy, so I often use those).
Someone requested an answer on Quora for
"How do you start making pixel art?"
Here are my 8 steps for doing it:

This isn't as much a review as an ode to the audio-visual overachievement of @kingdomthegame Norse Lands, much thanks to environment art by @Franrekk and soundtrack by @KalandraMusic:

As I was searching for tutorials on pixel art outline styles (black, colored/shaded, none), I came across plenty that call the shaded ones 'selective outlining'. This seems to be incorrect (image via @cure_pixel's tutorial & other older sources indicate selout as AA from inside).
As I posted my latest artwork to DeviantArt, I started noticing a trend … 🤔🌊🏝️☁️

Here's the Atari 2600 old-schoolness, as originally painted. It feels cozy to me, but I'm a helpless nostalgic. 😌
I tried something new and did a palette shift towards more natural colors at the end of the drawing process. Not sure how I feel about it yet.
When I was asking if anyone's done any Game Boy recolorings, this is what I had in mind.
I'm writing about hardware color palettes for the new pixel art materials and noticed @LospecOfficial Pallete List doesn't have an example image for the Atari 2600. I made one, but it was quite tricky since Lospec has some very hard requirements for them! [1/3]
