Based off of a building (small castle?) in Nuremberg, drawn by Dürer in 1519. I had to invent what could be on the other side (another learning assignment, the start of the concept art missions).
@zx_spectrum_30 Thank you! Here are some more that I did (since your username suggests you might enjoy them😁).
#ArtofVibrancy Finally a hashtag where you can't go more extreme than #zxspectrum art! 🥰
Some other artworks of mine drawn with @pixakiapp over the years (all Atari 2600 palette).
And here's the original mockup/concept art for the scene (unfinished drawing since it was done during the jam). I'm quite happy how close I was able to replicate the look. The final look has a pixel art vibe to it with dynamic shading and animated vegetation.
Let's close the year on the blog with an atmospheric sci-fi wallpaper pack by @norma_2d. Watching her many works over the year has been a highlight of 2020 for me. Check out all 5 images and a link to download on the blog: https://t.co/bb2tSLctyP
I rarely post my own art, so for #faceyourlandscape I can share some low-res paintings I've done in the past. It's very relaxing to do these, quite a different feeling than doing orthodox pixel art. All three are constrained to the Atari 2600 palette.
Retronator the blog is 10 years old! 🥳🎂
I wrote a post about the last 10 years of pixel art for the occasion: https://t.co/b3sXIaf3PH
Artwork is by @Megapont and it's the first pixel art thing I posted (well, reblogged) back in 2010. Time to go down memory lane!
An unfinished entry for the #shibuyapixelart2020 competition. I wanted to do a scene with my global illumination renderer for the Beyond Pixel Art category, but ran out of time. Here are a few test renders.
After half a year of going through my Watch list on @DeviantArt, it's time for a new feature of my favorite big #pixelart illustrations: https://t.co/AjSikMT4DA
Artworks in this tweet by @_Gas13, @NostalgiaTree, and @Kldpxl. 💚💙
