Designed to beat the new 250 GTO, it raced at Le Mans 1962, it ran 7th overall (ahead of the GTOs) before retiring. This drawing was done a few years ago, when I was struggling to gauge how much pastel was too much. So often less is more. I am still learning that in so many ways.
The ‘Breadvan’ Ferrari - a study in aerodynamics based on a Ferrari 250 GT and a serious racing car in its own right. Designed by Bizzarini for Count Volpi because Enzo Ferrari refused to sell a car to the Count (on the grounds that Volpi was apparently poaching Enzo’s staff).
