27 March 1918. Manfred von Richthofen's 71st victory, a Sopwith Camel (s/nC6733) near Ancre, north of Aveluy.
21 March 1944. First operational use of the Japanese Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka (Cherry Blossom). A rocket powered man-guided anti-shipping kamikaze attack aeroplane/missile.
