@trishacuffari Krita is an option as well. It is a free, open-source, cross-platform app. Not as snazzy as Clip Studio, but it makes big leaps forward with crowdfunding. Has vector, perspective tools, etc.
My samples here to show some of what can be done with it.

@EthanVanSciver Can't wait until he finds out B&N is selling more manga than US comics these days.
No hyper-sexualization there!
I want to do more finish to these pages, of course. Halftone or color. Apart from playing with this a little, I have to force myself to leave the post-production stuff alone until I figure out how I'm going to fund this.
Keeping it on separate layers helps, but I'm still not happy. I probably need a bit more training/practice on this kind of painting.
I did some watercolor-style painting on some characters depicting normal lighting, fine. But then I start trying to do this dramatic lighting and my motivation plummets. It looks muddy.

Mojo MOO preset brush bundles have arrived at long last!
These are for use with the #krita art app exclusively. Krita is a free/open-source/cross-platform art app alternative to Clip Studio that includes vector and perspective tools.

More brush preset demos. Almost finished with this behemoth explanatory page!
@watamotist I understand you want to make things simple for kids, but this mistake reinforces what a lot of beginners do anyway, which is draw the face too high on the head.
This is the very least a beginner cartooning book teaches. Lesson #2, right behind how to draw a circle.
Koriander, a new cow girl mascot for comic book/manga tools called MOO, which I've made for the art app Krita. Pending sets including ink brushes, effects, zip tone, and more.
