@ComicPerch Never do this, in any case. When I saw it, I couldn't care less when it was from, I almost don't care what it says. It's bad form and we've seen plenty of other specimens like it.
Why should I care what the characters are saying if it's not worth dramatizing properly?
@SierraWhiskey9 "World building is not plot" -- Chuckie Wendig
More books that would probably confound him.
@mattcrotts It's that sort of unchained imagination in manga that's capturing readers.
Here, for example, police in a tank pursue a criminal by driving between two walls.
By contrast, US comics now seem to be ashamed of juvenile adventure (fun) and want to play grown-up.
Costumed shills who have spent decades stuffing Hostess pies into your obese children now tasked with making you get your obese children vaccinated.
This is the "hate"--people getting kid's comic books about intergalactic cats.
The "dogpiling" and "harassment" she warns about is simply the natural impulse by people to defend themselves from false smears.
#comicsgate is simply a broad response to a dysfunctional industry.
@MMAtylander Good grief. This is her attempt at drawing Ethan van Sciver. Any one of his *fans* could draw a better, more on-point and insulting caricature. 😄
Her handful of backers apparently all chose the lowest tiers possible, and I don't blame them.
Oh well, so much for being nice. 😄
@RedCarConspiraC The color schemes should have been simplified. This isn't the palette of a 1968 show, and all the colors should have been flat flat flat.
Too many modern touches and not enough forceful clues that it's supposed to be retro.
