I've been reading the TALES OF CHARLEMAGNE volume of Bullfinch's Mythology for the first time and I think it'd be a real joy to illustrate. Here are some quick paladin sketches from my initial impressions a few yarns in.

I share a birthday with Rosemary Sutcliff, whose (mostly) YA novels about Roman & Sub-Roman Britain have sparked a lifelong enthusiasm for those subjects in many readers.
(I'd really love to do the illustrations for an edition of SWORD AT SUNSET or EAGLES OF THE NINTH one day)
