“Wishes” by Muon Thi Van and Victo Ngai is an utterly heart-rending, visually striking migration story.
Text and art work together perfectly to tell a powerful and truly moving tale.

Well this will be one of my picturebooks of the year.
“Faraway Things” by Dave Eggers and @yllekyhprum is an atmospheric and an utter delight, beautiful poetic text is coupled stunning dreamlike art. The story is both an adventure and a wonderful lesson. #PicturebookPage
@rcharlesworth @Mat_at_Brookes @RebeccaLucas @GalwayMr @marygtroche @erinlynhamilton @TeresaCremin @one_to_read @jonnybid @son1bun @smerchant13 @Sydneydraws Love this book. I’d recommend these as well.
“Etsy Darwin and the Four Pebble Problem” by @lauren_soloy has just jumped up to be one of favourite picturebooks this year. It’s a whimsical, philosophical book full of questions on the nature of science, the burden of proof and just a little bit of magic. #PicturebookPage
@f33lthesun @slhattersley @_Reading_Rocks_ Both Beth’s are great. I also like these... last one isn’t really about ducks.
@Miss_LO22 @kateowbridge @MrTs_NQTs Equally as they’ve used the word “literature” you may want to go with something a bit more word rich... this biography of poet Emily Dickinson is fantastic alongside her poems. Or lost words and Lost Spells are just magical
@Miss_LO22 @kateowbridge @MrTs_NQTs These are great... first is about a game addicted child who discovers how many amazing things you can do outside. Second is about the past year and how the outside is the most patient friend, final one is about the joy of being a child and “running wild”
