Late to this, but I absolutely adored “Ghostcloud” by @mikebmann .
This is a brilliant debut. Fantastically realised characters, a great plot, a truly mean villain and a marvellous dystopian London setting. It would be a perfect Y6 read hints of Dickens with a touch of Gaiman.

So sad to hear of the loss of Raymond Briggs. A children’s author who truly understood children and was unafraid to be honest.

@ClareHelenWelsh @PhoebeWahl “Ten Beautiful Things” by @mbgriffinbooks and Maribel Lechuga is a beautiful gentle book about change. The stunning illustrations practically pop from the page while the story is truly beautiful. I felt a little sweaty eyed by the end. #BooksThatHelp
