Dracu-Riot opened me to one of my biggest pet peeves in VNs: "Yuzusoft humor". The setting was pretty interesting and most of the characters were solid... in theory. However the unfair, constant "protagonist is a pervert" shaming humor killed this VN for me. Elina was nice tho.

Root Double was a pretty good visual novel in the mystery sci-fi genre. The pacing is a little uneven, but if you read in letter order, it definitely starts off with a bang. It has flaws preventing it from being truly great, but I still liked the setting and characters enough.

I was hyped for the English TL of Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road. It's by Majikoi's sister company, and had unique delinquent heroines. The humor and some scenes were good, but there were major flaws like MC being a bitch and the forced Ai guilt tripping. Ayumi is my favorite girl.

Ah good ol Doki Doki Literature Club, considered the ultimate "normie" Visual Novel. It's clear what many non-VN fans want or sees in VN storytelling. That said, I think the VN was just OK, a little too over the top. Sayori ez best girl. Interested in the DDLC Plus expansion.

Majikoi A-2 is my least favorite mainline Majikoi to date, but still not bad. Seiso's route was kinda interesting, mostly cuz of a twist from S. I'm not really a fan of romancing robots, so 4IS route wasn't my thing. Monshiro sequel route was a bit short but enjoyable enough.

The July 2021 Visual Novel Monthly Recap video is out. The biggest announcement is related to a certain popular Nitro + title. That said this was a pretty crazy stacked month with plenty of releases, announcements and even a few TL cancellations.

Majikoi A-1 the first fandisc post Majikoi S. I like all 3 routes, they are entertaining in different ways. I liked Sayaka's most cuz it had the most Kazma Family. Azumi's was good but relied on Yamato being a simp lord. Benkei's was fine but I'm not super in love with her.
