@LinneanSociety @BL_prints @BL_VisualArts @V_and_A A watercolour by Lars Alstrin of Sjupp is in Uppsala. Wilfred Blunt in the Complete Naturalist (page 152) says the @LinneanSociety image of Sjupp is a "pen and ink drawing" by Alstrin.
John Stevens Henslow born #OTD 1796. Fellow of @LinneanSociety (1818), taught #Darwin botany, and facilitated the young naturalist being given a place on the voyage of the #Beagle. The rest is history.
