Capcom's bright, cartoonish visuals and the inclusion of Darkstalkers characters guaranteed that this one caught my eye in arcades but it was at home where I played a ton of it. Adding a greed element with gathering gems appealed to my inner Gollum.

Here's the difference:

Street Fighter barely had any street fighting whereas Mortal Kombat had lots of mortal kombating... one was less recognizably the game than the other!

Pretty sure it was a fan translation I played this with since it was originally released for Famicom. Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies and a top-down adventure adaptation was sure to draw my attention. Had a rough time though!

One of my favorite Genesis games where the spunk and attitude comes across as charming to me. Love the pace and energy of this game and it's really fun to play with another player!
