Experiment with tone layers in Clip Studio Paint. One for each Yellow, Cyan and Magenta, set to multiply.
I used 6 different values for the tone, from solid, to nothing at all.

Did some doodling with the mirror tool in Clip Studio. I like the rawer look of these. Experimenting with comic tone is fun as well. Make sure to look at the toned ones original size for best effect.

The piece is mostly pixelart, apart form the sand, which is based on a phototexture that was modified.

Work in progress of a new texture for an Alien/Giger inspired set for Quake. Biomechanical stuff is fun to pixel and Quake has an excellent palette for the dark Giger vibes.
