Getting somewhere, almost done, but the colours are not final. I quite like the shadow colour being the same on both the foliage and the trunk though. Brings them together nicely.

More work on Phantom Island tiles. The last tiles I did were too busy to have them everywhere, so now very dark versions of them are background and the foreground tiles are a bit less fragmented into blocks.

I think this is my fave frame from any 2D Mario game, just because how relatively off model it is. I just love how goofy the mouth is.

Luigi's version get's a bit destroyed by the unfitting palette in places. Luigi, the eternal player 2 afterthought, so sad.
