seems like i finally managed to fix the distortions when generating weird torus ✌️ it's only been like a year since last try 😬 #threejs
working on best volume fitting for shadow mapping
(instanced data to bounding box, then adjust shadow mapping perspective/orthographic camera frustum to fit the bounding box)
background colour and vertical scale can be edited from the UI now. i have to try if the background colour should affect the shading as well
last tweaks and i'm done, i swear 😅!
i won't touch it any further!
