@RebekahWSD Yeah! That's a Black-backed Woodpecker I did for the @InstBirdPop annual report. They're a species that requires burned forest as a major component of their life cycle.
@corazonpics Do you take submissions? I've done a bunch of art over the years!
This is easily one of my favorite pieces I've ever done, and one of the most detailed. Every element was drawn on a separate document and collaged together.
The last piece of #sciart done for the report is this assemblage of species from Klamath National Forest! The full version here features Yellow-faced Bumble Bee, a female Spotted Towhee, Greenleaf Manzanita, a California Sister butterfly, & a Ponderosa pine sapling.
Exciting news! With the @InstBirdPop annual report release, I can now show off the art I did for it! In this piece, I remade the Black-backed Woodpecker into a phoenix, symbolizing how this species relies on and thrives in burned forests.
ok ok one last one because it's his birthday #onepiece
apparently I'm just doing a bunch of these tonight, but the vintage look is just so fun to play with
inspired by the soft focus of 1920s photos of silent film actors
#onepiece
Juuuust a few more for #100PercentZoom because I love brush textures that much and so should you.
