Love this prompt #100PercentZoom

currently delighted by how bumble bees, before I add the wings in, look like they're jumping for joy

I'll add one last tweet for #AnimalArtistsUnite featuring some of the sillier and/or fantasy creatures I've done, including a tube worm I invented for a SF-themed inktober series in 2017 because I still think it looks pretty cool!

And how about a few more! Just for variety.

Ooh, #AnimalArtistsUnite! I'm a biologist and illustrator - and while I mostly do birds, lots of other critters captivate me as well.

Final day of #InverteFest already?? Here's a preview of an illustration I've just finished for @InstBirdPop, which will be released in a couple of months. The wood boring beetles aren't the main focus of the image, but they're sure part of the story!

@blindcoyoteart @hannahorca Hello! I'm Lauren and I do a lot of scientific illustration as well as whatever else strikes me.

It's #PortfolioDay! I'm a scientific illustrator and mainly do digital paintings of birds and other #SciArt but also enjoy doing nerdy things like fanart and DnD/fantasy illustration!

Went out looking for inverts for #InverteFest yesterday and didn't get much, but the weather wasn't great. I'll have to try again today! For now, here's a rough little cicada painting, plus a recently-molted cicada I found in American Samoa a couple years ago.

Another set of paintings to kick off #InverteFest, bumble bees! B. bifarius, B. vosnesenskii, and B. melanopygus (plus bonus horizontal vos), a handful of Sierra Nevada meadow species.
