@SFBDim this isn't related to your struggle but i once had the thought that her little pose she does before waterfowl dance kind of reminds me of this and now it makes me laugh whenever i see it (also - very good run!)

i dont think they nicked the idea by any means (confident it's just a multiple discovery type thing) but i do find it funny that fortnite did a cool boxcutter-esque sword in their latest battle pass. my attempt at the same idea is from a couple of years ago at least

also the lighting/compositing is fantastic... they do the "cartoon movie" shadows on everything but they also do like incredibly subtle and nice things with ambient lighting and rimlights and stuff? honestly kind of shocking to see outside of a Makoto Shinkai film or something

i did a buuunch of exploration for the creatures in the moon, too. we approached it a few different ways, the initial idea was to have a bunch of front pieces and a bunch of back pieces that we could mix and match but it didn't quite work so we just went with 10 separate designs!

here's some Darcy with their scythe! Darcy's design was mostly figured out by the time i got to them, but I still got to do a tiny bit of exploration just looking at some alternate forms. obviously very sentai-villain-inspired!
