When Charlie parked his own #1 and took over the controls of Ernie Wilsburg,#5 car it was instant magic! 1982 they won 29 or 42 races,1985 Champ at Stafford and more! Sadly, Charlie had a crash at Martinsville in 1987 at age 44 and we lost our giant in modified racing forever!🙏

At 20 yo, Charlie chased his dream of becoming a race car driver and from the start he hit the road running! His brother Rick was his main sidekick
Pete the fighter. In his first race back after losing his leg he won! In 1955 Corey won the biggest race of them all the Langhorne National Open. Wins into the 60's and early 70,s were common. Than suddenly Pete left the sport not wishing to talk or think about it ever again!
