Pete the fighter. In his first race back after losing his leg he won! In 1955 Corey won the biggest race of them all the Langhorne National Open. Wins into the 60's and early 70,s were common. Than suddenly Pete left the sport not wishing to talk or think about it ever again!

off Rookie of the Race and hitched a ride with the winner Johnny Rutherford after he ran out of fuel. Other Indy car races Tim was fast but crashed hard many times! By his mother's advise she wanted him out of "those cars"! Hello NASCAR!
