Ron,s shot at Indy came in 1980 but just missed the show driving a Gary Stanton owned X-Penske ! Ron once saw a hypnotist because he had a hard time getting beat by Steve Kinser 100 times a year for 6 years straight! In 1997 Ron hung up the helmet to successfully promote races!🏁

In 1973 at Indy, Swede was fast all month. A favorite to win. In the race he lead laps. Victory was possible til a scary crash on lap 58, he hit the wall with the car breaking apart, fire everywhere. At age 26 Swede died 33 days later from complications recovering from the crash.
