Chasin his Indy dream Tobias won all of big races in USAC and continued to win in modifieds as well. Toby also had 1 NASCAR start at Dover but in 1978 he yearned to return to USAC. 2 huge wins came quickly. But Tobias tragically lost his life in a crash at Flemington, June '78🙏

Toby Tobias was a legendary racer who had a burning desire to race in the Indy 500. He no doubt had the talent to make it! His driving career started in 1950 at the Hilltop Spdy in Pa, but was put on hold to serve in the Navy for 4 years !

In 1973 Malcolm quit racing so he could sent his son to college and raised his other 2 sons teaching them the business they eventually took over. Made a comeback after 10 years off in 1984 but cut back in '85 after a serious crash.
At age 66 in 2006 he died of lung cancer.🙏
