Ed Elisian was a talented race car driver but was highly disliked by the competition. Throughout his career he was blamed to be the reason that many drivers died while on the same race track with him. His controversial career came up short for many reasons
Rick Ferkel,s driving career started in 1965 thru 1989. He was a loyal follower to WOO founder Ted Johnson but did venture off at times to win races with the All-Stars and other key events. A true ambassador of the sport and huge fan favorite. Respect was there from the drivers!

As times changed the landscape changed. Bigger money came into the sport and the racer would head downtown to places like St.Elmos and others. In the 70,s th Mates sold out. The building was a Biker Bar and today a Gentleman's Club. But beware, this is a place now not to hang out
One promotion was if a driver or mechanic wore a White Front Tee shirt, free lunch was on the house.Many drivers wore them in the 500! Thursday nights was movie night were all the racing crowd would meet. Racers would drink "gizmos" than toss the glass against the wall to pile up

Opened in the 30,s just as Prohibition was repealed this old house turned tavern was the hangout for many Indy 500 champions, crew members, fans and Celebrates alike! Within a stones throw east of the Speedway!
Freddy was always accompanied with his wife of many years, Naomi as they traveled the country looking for wins! Freddy has a love for animals like no other with many stories of him picking up and hauling them in his trailer, taking them back to his home and raising them! 🐐🐎🦌

Freddy won almost 800 races plus all of the Crown Jewels in Dirt Late Model Racing! He is very patriotic 🇺🇸 given most of his cars colors
