Fred Lorenzen,s career was a Hollywood script ! He was the first driver to ever win 100K in a season and he won all of the @NASCAR Big races! This Hall of Famer admitted that his retirement was way to early in 1967. A comeback in 1970-72 Fred was still competitive in races !

Richie left the family's farm at a young age and moved to Rome,NY to work in a local garage. His first car in was numbered PT109 after JFK,s torpedo boat in WWII. In 1965 Richie started racing modifieds and won his 1st National Championship in 1973 !

Covering all forms of motorsports, Chris won every journalism award and honor there is! He passed away at 91 in Wyckoff, NJ.🙏
Chris than wrote his first column at 14, than moved to the editor to owning the now known famous "Speed Sport News" and continued for over 50 more years. His Hall of Fame career than took on TV/Radio from 1961 to 2008.
Eventually selling the "Speed Sport News" to @ralphsheheen.

National Auto Racing News in the grandstands at age 13.
Jr. Johnson's family once experienced the largest alcohol raid in US history, seizing 400 gallons of moonshine from their house! Jr was arrested and spent 1 year in an Ohio prison for having a illegal still but NEVER got caught transporting liquor driving at high rates of speed.
