His great grandfather was the second highest ranking Confederate General in NC and began their whiskey business during those years! Jr,s father spent 20 years for bootlegging

The injuries Jan suffered after the crash at Indy Fairgrounds put him on the sidelines for 1977. He returned in 78, but just was never the same. Another hard crash at Jennerstown receiving more critical head trama ended Jan,s career. In a disabled state Jan died 16 years later.🙏

Ray Hendrick was famous for driving the Legendary Tant/Mitchell
flamed 11and winning all of the majors including the ROC at Langhorne and Trenton Speedways. Ray had the talent to win on the Cup series had he went that route. He is ranked 1 of the top 50 greatest drivers!

Known as "Mr. Modified" his entire career and winning more than 700 times Ray was always a threat everytime he showed up. Unfortunately, he never won the National Modified Championship because of his "outlaw" style of racing! He raced everywhere !🏁

Don Branson was a well respected driver among his competition. A 7 time Indy car winner and 8 starts in the Indy 500, Don announced that 1966 was going to be his last season of driving. Don died in the last race of the season at Ascot along with Dick Atkins in the same crash!🙏
