Two books in Spanish by @garciabriz about @GIMP_Official were added to the website list: https://t.co/7bObstrZMR
Many published books were not reported these years; we remind that we welcome authors contributing their book info for this page which is now re-organized per-lang.
The idea came to @AryeomHan when painting the Wilber & Co. strip for GIMP 2.99.10. For the "boom", there is this effect where you shift slightly the color from the line art (you see it well on the 'o's and '!').
This implies the color area has "pretty" edges you could show.
So @GIMP_Official now got a robust download mirror policy! May not look like it but it was actually quite some work in last few months, talking with @gnome Infrastructure team to understand the setup, documenting a new procedure, contacting mirrors…

Did you know there exists a version of @gmic_eu following @GIMP_Official 2.99 API changes?
For anyone who installed our dev flatpak (https://t.co/zhohCITSr2), this additional command will get you G'MIC for GIMP 2.99.6:
flatpak install flathub-beta org.gimp.GIMP.Plugin.GMic//3
When one of our Wilber & Co. comic strip is edited by a bug reporter to advertize their wanted change in @GIMP_Official. 🤣
We love it!
Would be fun if these become memes. CC by-sa licensed by the way, so feel free to have fun too with these comics! 😉

Lately bugs are piling up for macOS + no macOS releases since GIMP 2.10.14 (4 releases late!) because none maintains the package lately.
GIMP is a fully community-developed program. If you want it to be on macOS, take control. Contribute! GIMP software needs you!
Happy new year!!
Thank you for supporting Project ZeMarmot in 2019, and thank you for supporting again in 2020! Thank you, we love you so much!
P.S. The animal of 2020 is a white rat, so they took a photo together with our marmot and Wilber ;-) #happynewyear #ZeMarmot #GIMP
Thanks to comments, we even know how to reproduce now ("high dpi override" set to "system (enhanced)"). Yet none of main devs use Windows except for quick tests.
A Windows developer with a HiPPI screen should be able to figure this one out. This could be you! Would you help?
For the record, my (Jehan) first contributions to Free Software may have been Battle for @Wesnoth, translation of the game tutorial (n/a in native language back then). Yep, not code!
This brings me way back! :-)
So what will be your first contribution?
@GIMP_Official needs you!
"Don't squash bugs… free them!", the new Wilber & co. strip by our director, @AryeomHan, illustrating @GIMP_Official 2.10.12 release news.
A poetic 📜🌻approach to debugging 🦋, right?
