The artwork of #SamuraiShodown IV by Eiji Shiroi. It was used as a promotional piece for advertisement as well as for the controls arcade flyer. It was also used on the back cover of the #NeoGeo AES/CD versions. Upscaled, cleaned, and slightly retouched.
Naohisa Yamaguchi left SNK sometimes around 2000, when the company shut down, and became freelance while still working with some of his former colleagues: he designed logos for Metal Slug 5, The Crystal of Kings, Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny, and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum.
The artwork of #SamuraiShodown III by Eiji Shiroi. 1st piece was used as base for the cover of #NeoGeo MVS/AES/CD and #PS1 (NA/PAL). 2nd piece was used exclusively for the cover of the Japanese PS1 release (and it's the better one imo). Upscaled, cleaned, and slightly retouched.
