How it started > How it ended

I made Photoshop brushes Inspired by Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle, just to make trees faster as I tend to get lost in the fun of drawing one-by-one. After an hour playing with them I thought I'll just continue and see where it goes. It was fun!

I’ve been looking at Samurai Jack, and the backgrounds here are the closest I’ve seen to the Sleeping Beauty level work from Eyvind Earl. Just gorgeous stuff.

Eyvind Earle (1916-2000)

Another challenge complete. This was supposed to be a simple bit of fun in between commissions, but I had too much fun😊 It started out an Eyvind Earle study but ended more Dr. Suesian

I want to give some appreciation for Claude Coats. When it comes to Disney painters, he doesn’t get the recognition like Mary Blair or Eyvind Earle, but he played an important role in shaping the look of Disney’s films as well as some of the attractions for Disneyland.
