こんにちにゃ! Today's is 同, same!

This kanji is used in a lot of compounds to mean "the same (something)", which I didn't realize until I went over it just now. Kanji are really interesting that way. ^_^

にゃりがとう、みんにゃ!またにゃ!

Welcome to my featuring 高, tall!

I think of this kanji as several things stacked on top of each other, but the ancient form depicts a tall building. It's stayed pretty similar to the ancient form, actually!

にゃりがとう、みんにゃ!またにゃ!

Hello and welcome to my on 強, strong!

I've always thought of the component on the right resembling a stag beetle, believed to be one of the strongest of insects, so it helps me with remembering the kanji. ^_^

Thanks for stopping by my 100th Today I'm featuring 弱, weak!

This is a pretty distinct kanji and fairly easy to remember. It's actually related to the kanji for strong, 強, up next! ^_^

にゃりがとう、みんにゃ!またね!

Whoops! I forgot to send this out with the tags. My bad. I'll fix that now.

So today I featured 矢, arrow.

I've had the chance to use a bow before. It's pretty challenging!

Welcome to my featuring 矢, arrow!

It was actually pretty hard to find a sentence for this that wasn't just talking about actual arrows.

Hello and welcome to my everynyan! Today I'm covering 線,, line or track.

This is a really elegant kanji - it consists of 糸, thread, 白, white, and 水, water. Exactly what's needed to describe a trail!

ありがとう、みんあ!またね!

I present to you my latest featuring 直!

I find it interesting that this kanji, which is used for a straight line, also gets used for concepts like 'honesty' and 'fix', similar to English. Some concepts transcend language!

ありがとう、みんあ!

And here's my for today, featuring 計, plan/plot!

The part on the left is the radical for speech, 言, and it's an important kanji to remember since it's used in all sorts of speech-related words, like 語, language.

ありがとう!またね!

Good afternyan, and welcome to my Today I'm featuring 角, angle!

I included 'horn' as a meaning because the original kanji was based on an animal's horn. And since horns usually come out at angles... ^_^

ありがとう、みんな!またね!

Welcome to my Today I'm featuring 光, light!

This is another kanji which is a little hard to figure out just from looking at it, but it's actually based on a person carrying a torch.

Thanks for visiting! またね!

Hello, everynyan, and welcome to my featuring 交, mingle!

It's not as obvious the way it's written now, but this kanji originally represented twined thread. I didn't realize that till I studied the kanji here. ^_^

Thanks for coming, またね!

Hello and welcome to my featuring 丸, round!

The meaning of 'round' is a little hard to draw from this kanji as it stands, so I added the ancient form, though it's still ちょっとむずかしい (a bit difficult).

Thanks for stopping by, またね!

Hello and welcome to my for today, featuring 点, spot/point!

I always remember this kanji because it looks like a little boat out on the waves, and those are hard to 'spot'. ^_^

Thanks for stopping by, またね!

Thanks for coming to my today, everynyan! Today I'm featuring 長, long.

I didn't realize this kanji could be used to refer to age or seniority until I started this study. It's pretty neat that way.

Thanks for stopping by, またね!

Welcome to my everynyan! Today I'm featuring 広, wide. ^_^

Interestingly, it looks like this kanji actually came from the kind of long wall-less hallway you often see in classical Japanese houses.

Hello everynyan! Welcome to my featuring 細, thin!

It feels like most of the last several kanji have all been comparative - 多 many, 少 few, 半 half, 太 thick, and now 細 thin.

Important concepts, to be sure!

5 6

Welcome to my everynyan, and thanks for coming! Today's kanji is 太, plump/thick!

It differs from 大, big, by one stroke. As far as I can tell, this primarily refers to 'weight' as opposed to simply being big.

Thanks for stopping by, またね!

Good evenyan! I'm sorry for the delay, so here's today's 形, shape!

I remember this one because it looks like a torii gate plus cat scratches, so I think of a shapeshifting cat passing through the gate.

Thanks for stopping by, またね!

Welcome to my and today I'm featuring 半, half!

This is a really useful kanji that you can use to show lots of relationships (like more than half, less than half, half of something, half of a quantity, etc). ^_^

Thanks for stopping by, またね!
