All 3 species of these cylindrical-hooked-billed, saw-toothed Anatidae are common sights here in Wisconsin. Again, these images are from Rex Brasher's 'Birds and Trees of North America,' self-published in Kent, Connecticut, between 1929 and 1932. More: https://t.co/xsOUJlAI4m

The Canadian anatomist Davidson Black died at his desk in 1934 with the skull of Sinanthropus from Locus E beside him. This #hominin skull was unearthed by Wenzhong Pei in 1929 deep within a fissure cave in Longgushan, or "Dragon Bone Hill" #paleoanthropology
Today in Comics History: The "Tarzan" Sunday page first appeared 90 years ago, on March 15, 1931. (The daily strip had been running since 1929.) It was drawn by Rex Maxon (far less renowned than other Tarzan artists Burne Hogarth and Hal Foster). Here are the first four Sundays:

@worldofdarkness My first ever #VtM character was Hazel, a Lasombra antitribu in victorian London who got into plenty of fights in the East End. And I recently did a one shot in which I played Liz, an illegal distiller setite in 1929 USA during prohibition. I always go for rogues :__)
