Forgot to post these up. Week 2 for Craig Mullins course on . First part was to draw the portrait in a looseer style and experiment with adding texture. Next was to use really low opacity and glaze the colours in. Great learning experience

I understand this looks more crude than the previous version, but this is an experiment for planning textures. Tomorrow, I'll create a nicer version in Fireworks.

By the way, the Mario "graffiti" will not be in the final texture. It's there for scaling reasons as usual.

I tend to be very sketchy and quite rough after scanning my initial drawing as you can see in this crop of my current painting. I kind of cross hash the skin shading, which you don't really see from far except that you might realize a kind of traditional looking texture.

This is the 1st time I make a Probably it was easy because it's just wood but I'm really proud of it *tears*.
I first modeled it and got a normal and 2-color diffuse map. Then I started painting on it just because and *tears*.

Confident weight painting. I've yet to find a 'dull' part of 3D-ing. Gyarados needs a fair big of tweaking and then a decent bit of retopo, to be 'game ready'. Oh yeah and a handpainted texture...

Want to make Symbolic piece. Title is ‘ouroboros’ meaning infinite cycle of creation, life, or death. I always like the meaning of spiderlily and lotus flower haha probably change to hot press next time since I kind of dislike the texture.
