In terms of proportions pretend you're drawing a baby. Big head, same sized body/depending on how big you want the chibis to be! The face and it's features are slightly bigger but generally the same, and the body requires WAY less detail but ur DONE!!!!! Excuse thee old art lmao

i think the only colored version is on my 3ds i cant find atm but this was pretty much how the original design looked aside from me adding a star mark on one thigh.

Seeing the artwork from Legacies and the evoker talent tree, you can definitely see what they're going for with why dracthyr are designed the way they are. I wonder if they'd been slightly closer to the art's proportions, there wouldn't have been as much outcry at first?
