Deer wasps are a giant wasp native to Das. They are a species of emerald cockroach wasp that has adapted to life on the Das islands. They are much, much bigger than their cockroach-hunting cousins and hunt Das’ megafauna— most commonly deer.

Wombats even got a megafauna brother! The Diprotodon, a big motherfucker. He’s also a criptid, the Bunyip. Bunyips are a creature from aboriginal mythology (tho the name can vary between mobs), that hangout in billabongs, creeks and other watering holes.

This is a post-antropocene setting. Humans still appear to be the dominant megafauna but have been thrown back into some mix of iron-age and late-medieval technology. Northern tribes have descended south and now control the Great Lakes region.

Happy Invasive Species Day! Whether you're honoring the Europeans who came to the Americas and enslaved and murdered the previous homo sapien residents or the so-called "indigenous" people who came from Asia and aided in the extinction of the majority of North American megafauna

Canids of South America, including species extinct in the last 12,000 years. Canids are surprisingly diverse in South America. Some hypercarnivore taxa went extinct 12-10,000 years ago (along with most of the megafauna). Did this in sketch style

In this tainted forest the guardian slumbers, awaiting the day of its merciful demise, or the the breaking of the curse that's strangled the life out of its beloved woodland.
