#WyrdWednesday John Anster Christian Fitzgerald was nicknamed "Fairy Fitzgerald" for his main genre. Many of his fairy paintings are dark and contain images of ghouls, demons, and references to drug use; his work has been compared to Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Brueghel #OGOM2021

Richard Dadd’s work is serious so trippy and lush, reminds me a bit of Hieronymus Bosch.
I’ve been mesmerized by his fairy paintings since I was a teen. https://t.co/3b1hMsTmhT
The grotesque oils of Paolo Girardi. The twisted offspring of Hieronymus Bosch and 80s death metal rot. Layer upon layer of masterfully executed horror. https://t.co/O8PSsHZa84
@Gerardi @ajohnagnello Still no idea why they haven’t ran with that insane Hieronymus Bosch bird person from Twilight.

And here we have Hieronymus and Nikodemus, now officially brothers, in the style of Tales of Alethrion (tho it moves more and more to becoming my own version of it xD)
Imagine you design two OCs with roughly a timespan of two years inbetween each design... and they unintentionally end um similiar enough to each other to be freaking brothers?! COME ON BRAIN.
And I forgot that Hieronymus (left one) looked like that.
Again: COME ON BRAIN.
The Pedlar is a painting by Hieronymus Bosch, made in around 1500.
Although historians long disagreed, these days it's generally accepted the painting shows a pedlar, a man symbolic for sin but also repentance.
Let's check out some details and if we can make sense of them.
In this part we have what looks like #UncleGrandpa's bag! And Piplup from #Pokemon? But what is more impressive is the white creature between them! That and the weird egg-like thing are references to #HieronymusBosch paintings! now that's cool!
