we worked on that for like a month and realized it wasn't really much fun, so we scrapped it. a little bit later on we ended up coming back to it, but as a metroidvania instead

Tonight I finished Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. A clean and stylish metroidvania with color swap mechanics like Ikaruga. It took some getting used to but once I fought the first boss it all clicked. Healing and magic being tied to a core mechanic made for very interesting combat!

Bout AND played Micetopia today.

If you’re looking for a “my first game, this is it.

Lack of story. Hit or miss sword swings. Ungodly expensive (and worthless) “upgrades”.

Solid 16 bit graphics, perfect steady frame rate. Nice music.

Super abrupt ending.
