I saw that new fossil evidence has been found completely changing Spinosaurus reconstruction, showing that it had a powerful finned tail designed for swimming. Very cool news.
@EmilyVa30039150 Credit can be given there, but the reconstruction does not really stand out as "more accurate" than any other professional artists with similar resources striving for the same thing
Here's Caistor Roman Project volunteer, Jenny Press's lovely reconstruction of the frankly enormous extra-mural temple explored by the Caistor team in the summer.
and then WiL also brings us "Variety", a new game which I'm avoiding looking at too much because I want to stream it in the near future. It also includes a custom modification of ZZT built off of the reconstructed source code while also being 3.2 compatible so idk what to expect
Fast Castle did reconstruction in 1987 followed corbel machicolations along as I thought it was a Hall block. But changed this when I found (in ruin painting) it led to part of a Keep which makes alot more defensive sense. So tweaked reconstruction. #FastCastle #ScottishCastles

Discovered something in files of Pokémon Ranger: Shadow of Almia. There's is backsprites for Ms. April. I think she was intended to be the character who explain the capture mechanics instead of Mr. Kaplan. Here's too a possible reconstruction. #PokemonRanger
@GNM_Hancock @HoldTony @TWAMmuseums @HadriansWall @profdanhicks @NclAntiquaries And here is Alan Sorrell's wonderfully atmospheric reconstruction of the Carrawburgh Mithraeum.
Something a little different for #FossilFriday
When we say fossils are X, Y and Z million years old, it can be hard to place them into a geological timeline.
Reconstructions like this by the excellent Ray Troll really help bring evolution and deep time to life.
Had forgotten how much I like the dramatic reconstructions of the late great #AngusMcBride. In this pic a Scot is chased towards a deserted #IronAge #Broch by two Picts NW scotland 7th c AD

Here you have the reconstruction done by @BranArtworks. Because of the derived rostral morphology we hypothesize that this animal was a benthic feeder, a truly odd adaptation when compared with coeval physeteroids

Two outfits I mostly wear in ac! I was wondering too if ac pals would be interested in commissioning me with bells for this style 😂😂 I'm having a hard time racking up bells for island reconstruction bc I'm weak
Hello #PortfolioDay
I mostly make reconstructions of extinct life. Here is some of my work.
@OpPayne @Stravaig_Aboot It was sacked by the Red Douglas and Lord Crichton in 1443 but was never able to find anything for a reconstruction suggestion. Showed Forrester of Corstorphine shield taken as a trophy as army moved on to attack Abercon. There is a 1500's Dovecote which sat beside the Castle
