The trouble with the Amiga was its copper made it so easy to create awesome sky gradients. Heck, even the original Shadow of the Beast did some pretty awesome skies. (Though it wasn't exercising the copper as hard as some other games would do.) 😁

Basically. I draw the most simple sketch possible and go straight in with the polygonal lasso tool to fill in shapes on different layers. Then add details+gradients on clipping masks.

It saves me a ton of time since I tend to spend AGES on lineart
