It's been a long, arduous and hardworking journey, but i think i can finally say i'm done with the highpoly revisions, unless there's something that's really off i think i'm okay on proceding to baking the lowpoly meshes and going straight to texturing. will be sharing more soon.

@CatStaggs There is something about Mucha-influenced comic art that just meshes perfectly with the format.
I draw the mesh by hand and break it down into simple shapes that can easily be manipulated to give them the illusion of depth. (The suction cups are separate meshes.)
The "fat" and "middle" enemy types each have 17 unused burnt bone meshes, forming skeletons. The "large" and "small" enemy types lack them.
In two scrapped gore proposals, enemies either turned into collapsing skeletons, or bones were exposed as their flesh turned to ash. (2/3)

Like IDW def gets melodramatic in the way that will put off people just wanting Happy Silly, but overall I think it meshes better into itself.
These two have similar Auras, out of context the IDW is Bad, but HAVING context it's executed... just so much better.
