Forgot to include the "Laser Targeting System" module to the back of the weapon, which was shown in the latest gameplay video.

Some typology updates and messing around with UVs, which ended up being a lot difficult than I thought, which may take a while to nail down^^;

spot the model with the overlapping UVs!! =) you only notice this after lightmapping. a quick fix in the import settings, but really shows what lightmaps are: a shadow skin texture!
