Firefly came out 20+ years ago. 10 years ago when I was still learning UV mapping and texturing I made a super low poly Firefly model and then never finished it. Now I will take the same geo/UVs/paneling I had done then and see if I can finally polish it off (WIP)

Decided to go with a Ploom, and it looks... okay so far. Still need to still learn how to map UVs though

Also the lack of an obvious "shadeless" material option in anything beyond 2.79 is suffering and I have no idea how to use these "nodes" at all that everyone talks about

Nope, not a similar issue. Here's a comparison of what she'd look like if Panda triangulated her face the other way...

Interestingly you can see that the UVs are going to be extremely distorted regardless of which direction you go, might be a contributor to her weird texture.

After the cockpit, I've revisited & updated the model and UVs of my old F-16 E, am now re-texturing it to try better match the cockpit lol
