It's been great talking about the influence of William Nicholson on Ben Nicholson today in my series of lectures on Cornish Art 1940 to the present day - the fact that Ben did not acknowledge that influence until after his father died was probably the greatest shame.

It’s early time! The wasn’t the most eye-pleasing bird, but it was certainly smarter than its dodo counterpart. Maybe. I think. I don’t really know prehistoric birds if I’m gonna be completely honest here!
